Payment

All boarding fees must be paid by cash or card on or before the first day of boarding.

Scheduling your arrival

You will be telephoned approximately three days before your dog is due in to make an appointment for the morning of arrival.

Vaccinations and identification

Your dog(s) must be fully vaccinated. We will need to see the Vaccination Card and vaccinations must cover the complete boarding period.

Your dog(s) must have a Kennel Cough Vaccine at least 14 days before the first day of boarding. We require proof of this vaccination.

As required by law, your dog must be microchipped and wear a collar and ID tag.

What to bring with your dog

Please bring your dog’s normal food with you.

If your dog is on medication, please bring it with you along with the instructions for dosage written out in full.

Please bring your dog’s bed, favourite toys and any other items which might help them feel more settled.

Collecting your dog

Your dog(s) must be collected by the date agreed.

In the case of an emergency, you must contact Animals in Distress immediately. The following conditions apply:

  • If there is no room in the boarding kennels, your dog will be relocated to the main kennel block;
  • A penalty charge of up to £13 per day (in addition to the normal boarding fees) will be imposed;
  • Animals in Distress must be kept informed weekly.

If your dog is not collected by the agreed date and no contact with Animals in Distress is made, the following conditions apply:

  • A penalty charge of up to £13 per day (in addition to the normal boarding fees) will be imposed;
  • Your dog(s) will be relocated to the main kennel block for a period of seven days;
  • If, after a period of seven days, Animals in Distress has received no communication or instructions from you, we will assume that you no longer wish to retain ownership of your dog(s). Animals in Distress will then assume ownership. Your dog(s) will be kept for a further period of seven days and will then be put up for adoption.
