<empty> Is Your Pet Microchipped? - 02.01.2007
Microchipping your pet offers permanent, irrefutable proof of identity.

A microchip is a small chip (about the size of a gain of rice) and it is painlessly injected into the scruff, between the shoulder blades - each chip carries its own unique number. The whole process takes less than a minute. You then complete a form giving details of the animal and contact details of the owner. This is then sent to Pet ID to be registered.

If the unthinkable happens and your pet
goes missing, the international network of scanners held by the local authority Dog Wardens, Veterinary Practices and Animal Welfare Organisations, such as Animals in Distress, will identify your pet's unique chip number. The 24 hour central database, PetLog, will be contacted and your pet's microchip number will confirm your address, reuniting you and your pet.

You can have your dog or cat microchipped at the Rescue Centre, Ipplepen for a cost of £15.00. The Centre is open 7 days a week from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm.

One injection for a lifetime protection.
