The Animals in Distress Rescue Centre is clearly signposted off the Newton Abbot/Totnes Road (A381).

At any given time, we have over 100 cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs that are in desperate need of a new, forever home. Some of the animals can be seen on our Pet Locator, but it’s always best to visit the Rescue Centre to see the animals available.

We are open seven days a week from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm (the only exceptions being Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day). Visitors are always welcome.

Please note the kennels are closed between 1pm and 2pm daily.

The sponsorship scheme gives individuals, groups & companies the chance to 'adopt' an animal & hopefully visit them at the Rescue Centre.

Interested in re-homing an animal & meet the basic criteria? Help bring happiness by providing a safe, loving & caring environment for them.

Becoming a volunteer looks great on CVs & is a good way to meet new people & to learn new skills.
